Insurance

General

While the majority of health care plans do not cover acupuncture, a surprising number do and the number is on the rise. In an effort to make acupuncture more affordable for our patients, we have teamed up with an insurance specialist who will process your claims for you. During your first visit please bring your insurance card, so that we can have our insurance specialists determine the following:

  1. If acupuncture is covered under your insurance plan.
  2. If you have a deductible to meet and how much of this deductible has been met already.
  3. Number of visits covered.
  4. Your co-pay per visit.

Because a deductible must be met in most cases, payment is expected in full at the time of your first visit. If there is no deductible or it has already been met, the payment received minus your co-pay will become a credit toward future visits.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

If you have a flexible spending account, you can use pretax income for acupuncture. FSAs, which are utilized much like a debit card, are an easy way to get the care you want and make it more affordable. Because we take credit cards, many of our patients use their FSA debit card and love the convenience and flexibility it offers.
